"All you need is Love."-The Beatles

Stars,
In the night sky.
They bring memories unto me.
Memories of childhood.
Of lying in the grass at night.
Of reciting the old line,
I wish I may,
I wish I might,
Have this wish,
I wish tonight.
I wish for those days now.
the days when all were equal,
When we had no cares.
When our only concern was bedtime.
What happened?
I wish for those days.
They seem a million years removes.
As if everything has changed.
Has it?
I wish for those days now,
But wishing does no good.
I cannot help myself.
Still I wish away.
I wish myself away.
Away.
Into the stars.

The author's comments:
This was inspired by nostalgia, and I hope that people get a sense of their childhood, and how amazing it really was. I am trying to bring out the feeling in everyone of how innocence doesn't truly exist at this age, and thats what was so great about childhood. We were all innocent.

Beautiful. Absolutely. Unquestionably. Loved it. A truly relatable topic--very real, a teenage issue. We all think back on our childhood days, our years of simplicity, our years of innocent fun. The world seems too large, too oppressive, too much, too hard to take on in this point in our life. You said all this in an eloquently poetic way. Beautiful once again. Add to favs. 5 stars. Would you please comment on my poem titled In the Library?
