Sand between my toes, don't know which way I'm going
My chunky legs lead the way, never even slowing
I look back and see Mommy chasing after me
Life's a beach when you're one, two, three

Sand between my toes, the day is easygoing
The sun is basking down and the water is glowing
I'm constructing a castle out of shells and sticks
Life's a beach when you're four, five, six

Sand between my toes, the ocean is unknowing
I hop on my surfboard, and the waves keep on flowing
After incessant tries, I stand up just fine
Life's a beach when you're seven, eight, nine

Sand between my toes, the warm wind is blowing
Giggling with my friends, our innocence is showing
We share many secrets among ourselves
Life's a beach when you're ten, eleven, twelve

Sand between my toes, don't know which way I'm going
Life's hurtling toward me; I just keep on growing
I'm graduating now heading out to sea
My life's a beach...eternally

The author's comments:
A lot of the sentences were only supposed to be on one line, but when I was typing it in on here, it made them go onto the next line. There should only be four sentences in each stanza. It wouldn't fit on one line. Sorry!
