Sour, Moldy, Gray, then Rest
Grass it greens
and then it turns yellow
Sweet little boys
turn jaded fellows
I suppose there is a time
For everything to go sour
School, its fun
in its new sheen
a tree so pretty in its leaves
But school’s now tedious
and leaves dry up
I suppose there is a time
For everything to get gray
My love’s a whirlwind
Each day anew
I can’t stop smiling
Today- what will he do?
Until we get old
and hand holding’s mundane
Conversations dull too
I suppose there is a time
For everything to grow moldy
I decide to quit everything
Everything that I do
My sports, my talent, my skill,
Academics
My friendships and boyfriends and
time constraints
I suppose there is a time
For everything to rest.
