I dream of endless days,
Filled with endless summer haze,
Where Enlightenment beholds,
O But further on lay abandoned dreams,
Nothing but Illusions exposed,
And as I strike the rotting ground of reality,
I sit lone in my domain,
And am left to wonder when will go all the pain,
For how can I even imagine,
Of a world that no heart can believe,
And that a mind can only half conceive,
My dreams and hopes remain a blurred image,
Limp from a wash in the tides of the sea,
Yet my dreams,
Though in pieces,
Are still there,
And that is all that matters,


The author's comments:
Sometimes, I just feel absolutely hopeless. There is so much going on around the world and so little I can do. But, as they always say, anything is possible. And, eventually, if enough people try, we can attain many of our aspirations such as to become president or spread world peace. Anything is possible, no matter how devastating your situation may be.
