“Sure, I can talk like you, but I choose not to, It's like an art, you know? Picasso had to prove to the world he could paint the right way, before he goes putting both eyes on the side of a face... See if you paint wrong because that's the best you can do, you just a chump. But you do it because you want to? Then you're an artist...You can take that to the grave and dig it up when you need it.”
― Neal Shusterman, Unwind

My life is meaningless
Strangled cries of loveless nights covet me
But I refuse
I am the fragile lynchpin
Agape in sorrows
But heartache never enters my bed

I scheme
I plot
The façade so tempered
And pasteurized

You scope my heart
Hoping to find love
Amongst the desecrated buildings of stone
But my heart holds not love, nor lust
Only shadows

I rise
I fall
The motions so empty
And callous

You linger at the cusp of my consciousness
Eager to learn of my damning ways
I reveal none
For I am damned
And I alone

You fall
I fall
Down into the robust
And leering mask of hell

We scream for mercy
We scream for life
I scream for my curse’s upheaval
You scream to silence my cries

Just another heart’s death
By the hand of my dead and barren one
And I am indifferent
I have no emotions to carry you along
Only my consciousness
Which is never enough

You place love where there is none
Mistake brutal acceptance
For affection

But I love not,
I feel not
My heart is computerized
It’s cryptic realities hidden in blocks of binary code
And you have fallen in more ways than one,
In love with my diseased heart
And victim to the curse that I bare.
