Deadly Silence
Her words rarely tumble from
The lovely mouth that she bears
Because after much too long
She has learned that nobody cares
They shut her down with criticism
That is now all that she fears
It has sewn her lips closed
She speaks only with hot tears
Higher and higher they will rise
Those thoughts she has always carried
But deeper and deeper she pushes
In hopes they will soon be buried
She writes these thoughts on paper
Finally speaking her mind
But it is too late, far too late
These are the last words we will find.
