Waiting on the Lord

One step in a journey
idly sits on the threshold of the future.
God hears her yearning
yet allows the anticipation to consume her.
Everyday is a deadline,
an anticipated disappointment.
She knows it will be fine
and hopes others hold no judgment.
it kills her that she can't see
what God wants to do.
But if God holds the cards
can't she take a peek too?
One more step
One more day
closer to her fate.
Sometimes his timing
doesn't match her timing
Will His blessing come too late?
