Go ahead and fly away
to a better place,
and hopefully one day
you’ll remember my face.
The bloody tears you made me shed,
the broken promises you always said,
and most of all,
the trivial mind games you always led.
I will miss none of it,
you may,
but nay,
I will not.

The author's comments:
The inspiration to this story was that I got heartbroken and once I started to get over that person, he would come back to haunt me with the past. My problem was that I could never learn to let go of us, so he would take advantage of that and get me back whenever he wanted to. Overtime, I grew an understanding of what he was doing to me, so eventually I just got tired of it and decided to let him go, because I deserved better.
