Half a sentence

On strings of nylon
we created melodies to soft chords
beautiful music
a euphoric duet
in metaphorical proportion
no one made music like we did
but you cut off our strings
silenced my lips
and our song came to be forever unfinished
a half sentence
I think
that the reason that our melodies
will always be stuck in my brain
I will always wonder
how the rest of the song
would have been ...
but we will never know
for although we made beautiful music
You never understood the lyrics.?
