Darkened Dreams
Your hand slips away
Like a gentle breeze
Fading from the Earth.
And I stand there,
Dying,
Just waiting for that warmth to return.
For some light to come back
And fill the darkness that surrounds me..
For your touch to once again be felt on my skin.
But I know that is only a silly dream,
Childs play at the most.
For I was not meant to be a creature of joy,
But one forever meant to dwell
In the shadows of others happiness...
So I lie here, bleeding
My heart out for you.
If only I had one,
I'd give it to you, along with the world.
I'd give it all
Just to see your smile
One more time.
To share one last passionate kiss with you,
As I draw my dying breath
And forever close my eyes.
