Shall I wipe the tears when you weep?
Shall I hold you near when such sorrow severs deep?
To feel the warmth of your body close to me
Shut my eyes when your name is said
Recollections rail my mind, could it be?
Echoes in this weary state as I lie in bed
Come to me when amorous intention overcomes
Shall I whisper in the dark?
Shall I wait when the light comes to part?
Ask as I may, love me without question
Not only here in person, but fantasy incarnate
When in your presence, my voice a slur of diction
This love n other shall ever impersonate
Agitation of commotion beckons
Shall I call when condemnation comes to surface?
Shall I remain when love has no such purpose?
Die inside from a loss, oh so dear
Even so, determination never shall pale
In the eyes of the beholder, oh so clear
