Truth Never Lies
These last past
years, months, weeks
have been a big change
from the first black president
to how glory rains
from babies being born
to people being baptised
we talk about resolutions
something we never keep
instead of pick up a bible
or getting our child something to eat
it's hard and difficult to believe
that a parent would leave
their child suffering for drugs
or for something that just looks pretty
but I don't see why
that happened to me
my mother left me for something
so unworthy
drugs was something
that hurt my mom from inside
mentally and physically
the truth never lies
the sad thing today
is to say she never changed
after all we went through
that's really ashamed
but I have this feeling inside that
say I really love her
and know matter what I will
because she's my biological
mother
even though I'm not with her today
I still stand strong
with a whole lot of faith
because the truth will never lie.
