These Old Sneakers
These old sneakers
Have all but fallen apart
They are riddled with holes
The colors have faded
And the laces can barely hang on
Enough to tie a knot
These old sneakers
Have walked me through many miles
Of life
Through joy and success
Through pain and destruction
And every step in between
These old sneakers
Have a story to tell
Put them on your feet
Do they fit?
Didn't think so
For my sneakers are unique
They fit only my feet
Walk through only my life
What do you see when you wear them?
What do you feel?
And that's only what you catch
In this moment
Take a step into my story
And imagine traveling through your entire life
Wearing these old sneakers
