Different
I'm too tall, I'm too short
I'm not thin enough, I'm not strong enough
My skin is dark, my hair is light
And everyone laughs at me
I can't speak correctly
I am missing a leg
The heart in my chest isn't mine
And everyone laughs at me
I don't have many friends
I'm not good at much
I cry myself to sleep
And everyone laughs at me
I have run out of money
My parents abused me
I can't quit this drug
And everyone laughs at me
I wear braces and glasses
I am obsessed with celebrities
I've got my nose in a book
My eyes aren't blue
And everyone makes me hate myself for it
Except for One
He was nailed to the cross
He doesn't laugh
Because He knows how I feel
He was cast out, put down, beat up
He took it all on for me
He never judges; only loves
He knew that being different is better
With Him, being different
Is something I can live with
