Diamondback
Love is like a diamondback
If you get too close it will bite
yet once you see it your always in pursuit
You let it wrap around you just to let it constrict
the fangs are hidden
concealed until the last second after you declare it safe
Love is like a diamondback
always looking to exploit a weakness
always going after the weak for it's next meal
it draws you in with it's beautiful diamonds
only to inject you with a poison that hurts forever
yet isn't it ironic the cure for a diamondback bite is diamondback venom?
Maybe love is the same
people should always pursue love
no matter visible the previous fang marks are
