Vampire
In the darkness I see you stand.
All alone in the room with walls of blood.
Your eyes burn through my soul as you stare.
I feel fear and yet I don't move, I just stare back.
I look at your dark black eyes and wonder, why won't you move?
Your pale skin slows my breathing.
With courage I move forward, my eyes still locked with yours.
I reach out my hand to touch your face.
My body is filled with shock as my hand touches your cool skin.
My face is blank as I stare, you smile at my reaction.
Through the window the sun starts to rise.
You start to back away into the darkness.
I try to stop you but you put a finger on my lips and say:
"Vampires can't be in sunlight."
