You know how bad it's gotten
It's only gotten worse
Last time we spoke,
With pride in my heart,
I said I didn't need you anymore.
If there was a problem, I would fix it
If it was broken, I would mend it
I would become self-sufficient.
You know how bad it's gotten
and since I'm only making it worse
I'll get on my knees and you'll intervene
and prove to me
That I'm not as self-sufficient as I make myself to be.
