The Crackle of The Fire
Crackle!
It starts again
The flames jump up
The temperature rising
Once again, the flames,
Expanding and landing onto the earth
Water, falling, extinguishing every flame
On the ground, giving way, to the mound of fire
Now, growing
Once again
Behind, in a line,
Growing, into a new phase,
Now, set ablaze, in a maze of destruction
Like a wave, consuming the sand on a beach
Now, it looks old, but soon the new gold will reach
But for now, everything smashes, and crashes
Leaving only gashes, and ashes, behind
It’s everywhere to be seen
But only by me
