And so I ache

resentment fills my lungs
yet I do not let it reach my tongue
a sadness rises in my soul
yet I do not let it take me whole
anguish slips into my bed
but I know enough to think ahead
and so I breathe it
I feel it
I watch it
within and beside me
yet I do not let it shake me
