You Have Courage
My name to you is weird,
You believe that you are so much better than me,
You think you are popular,
Ha I think that's hilarious,
I have a name,
I don't have to bully someone to feel good about myself,
If you are popular then that is something i don't ever want to be,
We became friends at church,
But I still didn't know if I could trust you,
But when we became better friends,
Sharing each and every secret with each other,
You told the saddest one of all,
You whispered to me that your dad abused you,
You showed me the bruises he left,
Oh lord did I believe you,
I want to help but I don't have the courage,
Courage is what you have for being able to deal with these things,
Courage is something you have but I do not,
I take back what I said before,
Now knowing why you said and acted like you did,
