Snowflakes
The words swirl around me
Like snowflakes
In a blizzard
I reach out to grab one
A word
A snowflake
It’s delicate
Like an orchid
Crumbles
Melts
In my hands
I can see words
Hear them
Taste them
Feel them
Catch them on my tongue
But when I reach out
To take one
Out of the swirl of words
They dissolve
Into nothing
Nothing but fine powder
Sounds that no one understands
No one tries to understand
No one bothers to hear
They don’t see the snowflakes
They don’t hear them
Taste them
Feel them
Catch them on their tongues
They can hold the words
Bend them to their will
Use them as they like
But they don’t see beyond
All they see is power
Snowflakes
