Masked wounds
A compliment, temporary happiness
An insult, everlasting depression
Words come without thought
And puncture deep into a mans heart,
To the soul itself
But still, they are thrust about carelessly
Leaving wounds that may never heal
A cut too deep to enter
Noticed, a hint of joy
Left out, a scar of sadness
Words can give me life
Or break me down
But the impact goes on without realization
A masked blade
A hidden dagger
The tongue is insidious
More dangerous than the mind can comprehend
Unknowingly harmful
A touch, importance
A strike, never ending pain
