Hope was Here
Hope walks in hesitantly because no one wants her. She thinks they do, but they can't believe. They can't hope.
Hope saunters by, wondering why you won't call her name. Just like it's done all the time.
Hope taps your shoulder. You ignore her. You've always done it. You say, "I can't hope."
Hope shakes you so you will see her standing there. You won't look. You are too busy worrying.
Hope yells, at her wit's end. You act like you can't hear her. You like it that way. You think hope is dead. You didn't glance ahead. She was right there until she walked away in disgust.
