Strangers
think the best of me.
People who know me
know my flaws,
my mistakes,
an just how annoying I can be.
But strangers can merely glance
at the short girl
with dark brown hair
and hazel eyes
and think...
Nice girl,
Pretty girl
then walk away.
Never knowing
or even caring
about what lies in the heart
of this "nice girl"
this "pretty girl."

I thought of this during a trip to the mall. I was going to use it as part of a story, but I realized these thoughts come more from my heart than my character's.

This is so true for anyone. It's like as long as people see you don't have a broken arm or eye falling out of your eye socket. They think you are fine....Sad but true. Awesome Poem! Keep writing! You are very talented :)
