My favorite quote is one by Albert Einstein-
"Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow."

Life is happiness, presented in the form of smiles and hugs
Life is joy rapped into a bundle of sorrow
Life is chocolate, sweet, sliding down your throat in a cacophony of tastes
Life is standing, when it feels like everything else is falling
Life is living every moment to the fullest, tasting every berry’s juice
Life is never-ending feelings, every one precious
Life is a mystery, a riddle that may never be solved
Life is family and friends, and laughter and stories
Life is never-ending, even when it ends
Life is hugs and smiles, dreams and hopes
Life is a gift that never stops giving
Life is a flower that grows through the cement, breaking to the surface
Life is happiness, and love, peace and forgiving
Life is the most precious jewel, priceless
Life is unexplainable and unexplained
Life is everything you make it, and everything you don’t
Life is…

I really like the line about standing when everything else is falling, that's how I feel a lot of the time. Think that you could check out my poem, please?

Thanks for all the comments!

Yuka11- When I wrote the "life is never ending" line, I was thinking more along the lines of living on in memories, but it can definately be interpreted in many ways.

"For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." -Doctrine and Covenants 25:12

I really like this! The best line? Life is never-ending, even when it ends. I did a double-take and had to re-read that line. Does it mean that when you die, you are still living- either in people's hearts or in the "next place"?I like that you focus on finding the silver lining. I love how you didn't end the poem because life is "never-ending". This goes deeper than I realized at first.... Good job!

Wow! All these metaphors are so amazing! My favorite is the one about the flower, growing through the cement. Everything here feels so true, and real, and you really dig through all the unimportant stuff to get to the root of everything. Great work!!!

This is fabulous!!! Such great use of vocabulary! I love "a cacophony of tastes" :)  And you put so much truth and depth into it. "joy wrapped in a bundle of sorrow", "standing when it feels like everything else is falling", and "everything you make it and everything you don't".  This made me feels so warm inside, please post more you have such an amazing talent!
