I'm on the outside
Sitting next to the inside
With no separation
Besides who you've become,
and who I've always been.
You will no longer be who I loved you for.
You will never be that girl again.
Now I bid you farewell,
My good friend.

I wrote this poem while sitting next to a girl who had been my best friend for most of my life, and then things changed.
