i sit here
choking on the words that wont come out
there is nothing but silence
invisible tears run down your face
you are not crying
but there is pain inside of you
i want to tell you
i want to spit those words out like snake venom
but instead i am quiet
the silence bounces off the walls
i can't quite catch it and put it into words yet
but that day will come
when i tell you what I've been waiting for
this ring on my finger proves it all
shiny, reflecting light with ease
i just wish it was you
that gave it to me
