I could have had you, now look where I am
Wishing, waiting
For something that’ll never happen
Chances stolen by words too-soon spoken
I wish I had known you back then

I know it could have worked, should have worked
Yet didnt’t
All the blame falls over my shoulders
I know I’ll miss you; I already do
I never wanted to let go of you

The tears fall down my cheeks
And I know I’m to blame
I’m sorry for breaking your self-confidence
If time could be rewritten, I know I’d go back
I will never make the same mistake again
Never again

Thinking of how we’re opposite
Yet we make each other smile…
If I had known before
That this was not my made-up love
I would change it all around

But it’s too late now. I guess I’ll never know
Suffering as I miss you from afar…
It seems as though our time’s run out
I wasted away what we could have had
And what I now want

The tears fall down my cheeks
And I know I’m to blame
I’m sorry for breaking your self-confidence
If time could be rewritten, I know I’d go back
I will never make the same mistake again
Never again

I'd say it was pretty self-explanatory...

Thanks, that means a lot. I want him to see it too, but I'm not brave enough... *sigh*

"You don't need to be brave every minute of everyday, just a few seconds at a time."

this was a really nice poem. it seemed sincere and apologetic. it says a lot, and if i wrote it, i would want the person it's about to see it.
