Moving On
This graduation is a closing
Of a chapter of our lives
But into a another chapter
We pick up our pens to write
Each book will unfold differently
As we go our separate ways
But maybe, with conditions right
We’ll meet again someday
We have a journey ahead of us
The journey that is life
No one says it will be easy
The road is filled with danger and strife
But through it we will carry with us
The tools that we have gained
Through friendship, work and scholarship,
We’ve nothing to be ashamed
We’ve quite a hallowed road ahead
The future, it is ours
Dancers, authors, engineers
Maybe colonists on Mars
And though the path ahead of us
Is clouded thick with mist,
We’ll fight, we’ll fight our way through it
With claw, with tooth and wit
