Apples
The apple is smooth until you bite into it
You get the sweet, juicy temptation like the devil
That makes you crave more
It crunches every time you take a bite out of it
You imagine going to the apple orchard in the fall
Where the trees drag their shoulders under the weight of their fruit
Walking in the fallen leaves, crunching beneath my feet and
All of the ripe red apples hanging around you, ready to eat
The apple gives me a taste of the apple pie that is made at thanksgiving every year
The pie is sweet and rich with apples, sugar, and cinnamon,
And covered in whipped cream
Apples are a sign of fall when they are ready to be picked
And going to the apple orchard and the cider mill are favorites
And you have to get the sweet cinnamon doughnuts and the tasty apple cider when you go to the orchard or cider mill
An apple is the arrival of fall, school, teachers, good health, and temptation
