Another shot
I lie awake day after day
Captivated, paralyzed, terrorized
By memories of how we used to be
If I had one wish, if I saw one falling star
I would request that I was given a second chance
Another shot, at loving you.
I may have made some mistakes
Over-analyzed, over-serious, timidness
To cut loose and just have fun
I lost the way, the path of pleasing you
I was thinking too much and if I could
I'd go back and start it over, do it again
If only I could go back
Return, fix, redo
Everything that I did wrong, make it better
Truth is that I don't deserve another chance
But you make me better, make me want to do my best.
I'm happy without you, but I was happier with you.
