Christmas Angel
She watches from her perch,
White wings washed in light,
The Christmas tree is glowing bright,
Her porcelain face remains unchanged,
The years go by but she does not age,
The children grow and then they leave,
The Christmas angel does not grieve,
Her place in life has been set,
A thing the angel does not regret,
She is as she is,
And always will be,
The Christmas tree angel is nothing like me.
