Her Alaskan eyes whisper sweet secrets and lies,
but dissolve away to expose the naked below.
Symbols of fear fade away fast,
like the loveliness of an orchid once you squash it with your step.

Dissolving away to expose the naked below,
the petals collapse in a petrified state.
Like the loveliness of an orchid now squashed by your step,
the words resonate in the hollow of her head before the release.

In a petrified state those petals collapsed,
along with the brick in her torso that was blocking emotion.
The words resonate in the hollow of her head,
taking a step towards the light, but looking back still.

The brick in her torso that was blocking emotion,
contained love left unopened and ache left concealed.
A step towards the light, but looking back still,
the petals are petrified, but the stem is not.

Despite the love left unopened and ache left concealed,
symbols of fear fade away fast.
The petals are petrified, but the stem is not,
with her Alaskan eyes no longer whispering lies.

A rose is still a rose with or without any petals.
