When my darkest days came
You were there to help me though
When clouds towered over
You turned my skies blue

On those days I felt alone
You were there by my side
To embrace me and hold me tight
And the loneliness soon died

And the day you were gone
Forever no more
When I would cry for hours
Till my eyes got sore

I’d look up at the sky
And I’d see you smiling face
And then I’d know
That you were there always watching over me
