Its depressing watching every one you know move on
While you standing in the same spot desperately trying to catch up
But knowing you’ll always be two steps behind
No matter how hard you try
You’ll never be where they are
Until there two more steps ahead of you
Does that mean ill give up?
No. If anything i pushes me more
To be better, smarter, wiser
Pushes me to be everything i know i can be
Pushes me to be the person I’m suppose to be
Pushes me to come out my shell and stop hiding
So am i going to let it get me down a second longer?
No. I’m going to walk around with my head held high
And one day it will be all worth it
And ill be the person i was born to be
