Join Me in Infinity
I could take this knife, slice it through my heart,
Watch as the blood drips down, as my life slowly ends.
Would that satisfy your hunger?
Please your disease?
No longer, would I suffer,
I would no longer be your burden,
Your disappointment,
Under those disapproving glares.
Would that satisfy you?
If I no longer breathed, no longer lived.
If I just ceased to exist,
Is that what you’d want?
But, could you live with the blood on your hands?
The guilt, that I’m gone because of you,
Because of what you said, what you’ve done?
You couldn’t, for if you could, you’d be heartless,
No better than me,
So take this knife,
And join me in infinity.
