The Curtain
The Curtain
was open,
the sun
shone in,
the house
was bright,
the light
shone through glass vases,
bright colored rainbows sparkled.
The flowers
were fully bloomed,
healthy.
The room,
filled with happiness.
Now,
the curtain
is closed,
the room
no longer happy,
all is hidden,
hidden behind the dark curtain.
The glass vases
no longer shine,
they are just dark.
The flowers
now limp,
sickly,
drained of color,
each pedal falls one
by one.
The curtain is hiding what’s going on.
With the curtain closed,
it makes the house
ordinary,
but it hides.
What is going on inside?
