Hit and Miss
I sit in the corner idly by
Watching scenes from my life here
The moments seem to fly by
straight away to the sky
The moments that I want to live in forever, that I want to hold dear
I think I'm the third wheel
I'm sitting here quietly, hoping they'll invite me
Just a glimpse or a piece of attention is what I try to steal
Yet nothing comes of it as I try to let it be
They're talking of things so foreign and wild
It's like I'm entering another country
I sit and watch them laugh and they act like a child
I wait for a turn for the attention to be on me
Is it unfair to ask for this?
Could it be unwise?
I ask only for acknowledgment, but it's a hit and miss
So do I ask why I am what they despise?
Just one look, a mere glance, ANYTHING?!
A reason, a thought, something to get me through
Something, or I am nothing
And I die from missing you
