One day at a Time
One day you were there,
The next you weren’t.
If only you could see the way I hurt.
I don’t think you care, because you’re not here.
I understand your fear,
That’s why I tear.
You shouldn’t do this to someone,
Even though you said you wouldn’t.
I know we’d talk again, but I’m not sure why.
The reason for that will forever lie.
The times we had are memorable,
Like the times we were inseparable.
The times you helped me from the cry,
Weren’t anything like when you said goodbye.
My feelings for you grew even more,
But like they say,
“when it rains, it pours.”
