"Oh God, pray Thee, so that I can be beautiful within" - Socrates

One fine day, I wish to go…

To a place where I could go alone.

Where the daisies shone in husks of gold,

Where every bud a rose infold.

Where the kingdom lore expands to seas,

Where the wind would always sing to me;

Where fleets of fluttering butterflies,

Would dance and waltz for my own eyes;

Where the squirrels play with hearty dote,

Where the stars would line up for my soul.

One fine day, I wish to see-

The sky in her silver sleep;

Where the rain patters in whitish glow,

And fireflies ignite their nightly show;

Where the rivers would bask in the silver streak,

With silver fish in hide and seek;

Where exists a magic spell-

Behind every corner and every tale.

One fine dawn, I wish to be,

In a place whence I could clearly see-

The Sun waking from behind the hills;

The mellow rays all mine to feel.

Golden flowers in ne’er-ending lines;

Golden dreams to fly and shine;

Where the clouds race in the fire’s dance:

The birth of rainbows at my glance;

Where the sun-kissed skies would sing to me,

That is where I wish to be…
