I watch a kitten cloud pass over head
I point to it, she smiles
“mummy a kitten” I said
And I am safe

She picks me up and hugs me to her
She points to me
“An angel” she says in a whisper
And I am safe

“And another” I murmur
I point to her
She laughs, she holds me closer
And I am safe

This poem tries to show my feelings for my mother and how safe she can make me feel.
