You're the One
I write my stories about her
I write my songs for her
I keep my memories of her
And there will be no other
I dream of her when I go to bed
And let the pictures of her
Flow through my head
I pray for another day
And pray she'll let me try again
some other way
I pass her in the halls at school
But I never talk
I just smile like a fool
I want to tell her
How I feel
But I know it won't be enough
to seal the deal
One more time
I'd like to hold her hand
But my time is slipping away
Like an hour-glass
Filled with sand
How do I win her back
How do I prove
I'll love her forever
And how will I take it
When she says never
I think I'll hold my breath
And bite my tongue
'Cause I'm not man enough to say
"You're the one"...
