And I’m dancing with a lion
And your smile is a sunrise
And I can’t look away from your pearls
And my eyes are dazzled by your golden coat
And I thank God for music
And I thank the Devil for dancing
And we share a thought: “I’m glad I’m not epileptic.”
And we laugh drip, drip
And we dance sway, sway
And we jump up, up
And we love so much
And my ears begin to bleed
And I can’t seem to understand
And conscience calls when no one is listening
And my heart is the back beat going bam, bam, ba-bam
And the DJ blends a tarantella
And conscience can’t understand
And there’s a squall of torrential laughter
And your touch is the kiss of a firebrand
And we retreat to the silent moon
And the sky is a blackboard
And the stars have written the three words of power
And we reach so far when it’s right in front of us
And we stand on our toes above all the others
And we look down upon them and smile
And we scream our adolescence
And we dream what we dream
And we love how we love
And we dance with the stars
And we kiss on a stage in front of no one
