Tears Of Fire
Shreds of paper float to the sky;
Remains of my memories
Now consumed by flame
Grey ashes are shoved to the side
Another box, another three months
To go up into smoke, never to return
Pictures of us, melting in the heat
Water dripping off the corners
Of the expensive photo paper
Like tears of fire
And for a moment, I want to
Snatch it up and brush it off
But I know it is now too late
And no matter what I do
I will never get back the
Times we shared
Over a year and a half...
But it all seems like ages ago.
