Rasputin
Veins stained from toxic cells
he eats his last expected meal
His pain sustained and quick to quell
His beat was thought surreal
Appalled, his skull was shot dead on
He fell onto the floor
Enthralled, he crawled and jumped the con
who shelled out three shots more
His pride aside, he fell again
they bashed him, surely offed
Inside, he cried and cursed these men
Was brash, but simply scoffed
Astounded, they bound him in a rug, so obscene
and tossed him into the ice
Surrounded, he drowned in the river unclean
Across the waves, enticed
His corpse, now warped, was buried days late
Dug up again and burned
His retort, a distort, he sat up on his slate
and shrugged, no real concern
This man, began a legend of life
His soul was thought to heal
His plan, though banned, excluded strife
His beat was thought surreal
