for coming around

for making me cry

for passing me by
you said you were sorry
for treating me like this
you said you were sorry
for not giving me a kiss
you said you were sorry
for the pain you have caused
you said you were sorry
for putting me on pause
you said you were sorry
for previous times
you said you were sorry
for making me rhyme
you said you were sorry
for beating me down
you said you were sorry
for being a clown
you said you were sorry
you say it once more
you said you were sorry
you've said it before

As much as I enjoyed this poem because of how relatable it was and how much depth it has the amount of redundance that is present makes the piece seem more infantile. I'd also like to point out that even though there is a rhyme scheme present the fact that the poem has no separation makes it look a little messy. Of course that's probably just the perfectionist in me talking but still. Overall I like this poem but I think there is room for improvement. Please keep writing :]
