How To Get Better When You're Feeling Blue
Sometimes when I’m feeling down
I just look all around
Try it one time with me
Do you see what I see?
Look up high and look down low
Look fast and look slow
Look around until you find
Something that leaves the bad things all behind.
Do you see the ocean blue?
Do you see things the way I do?
Do you see the forest green?
And the trees standing so lean?
Now for a second, close your eyes
Picture what comes to your surprise
Be it thunder, be it a cloud
Be it soft or be it loud.
Now imagine you in paradise
Feel the feeling of oh-so nice
Do you feel it? You really do?
Good, because I don’t want you to feel
As sick as a dog or as blue as the sky
As mad the devil or feeling like you have to cry.
But if you have to sob, or yell or scream or feel blue
I’m the one that will be here for you.
So take my hand and don’t be afraid
The sun will again shine on a glorious parade.
And don’t be sick and don’t feel blue,
You don’t have to be sad if you don’t want to.
I feel your pain, I really do
But someday, I promise you
You will feel better
And I’ll always be here for you.
