After A Picture
"Let's take a picture", and we all groan,
and we put put on big, cheesy smiles, put our arms around each other, and we hold up the finger, the peace sign, the rock and roll sign, a gang sign,
something or other,
and after the flash, we all separate and go back to talking, joking around, laughing,
being ourselves.
In that moment, we have no cares to what we look like, how big our smiles are...
We've got friendship on our mind, not 'smile, smile, don't blink, smile...'
We're living for the moment and having fun doing it...
Shouldn't this be the picture captured?
Shouldn't we want to remember our friendship, how we laughed, us having a good time?
Because
I can't recall us ever standing around with our hands locked in some kind of gesture, smiling cheesy smiles and being completely still.
