I love you, Hitler, the mintiest.
I love you the color of summer Oreo filling.
The color of smiling little lips
and overwhelmed little eyes.
I love you the color of mint chocolate chip ice cream.
The color of sticky cheeks
and shiny fingernails
and childhood.
I love you the color of the gum I chew when I'm nervous,
when I'm hungry,
when I'm cranky,
when I'm hyper,
when I'm sleepy,
when I'm happy,
when I'm sad,
when I'm with you,
when I'm without you.
I love you, Hitler, the mintiest.
