Poetry-
the art
that flows from your heart.
This isn't paint,
you need no brush.
This isn't school,
no need to rush.
Intriguing lines of thoughts,
ideas light as cloth.
Times when you're confused,
poetry keeps you amused.
Do it in free verse or rhyme,
the mingling of words that chime,
and keep together in perfect time.
Gift a moral or two,
lessons that stick like glue.
Poetry is an art,
words that come from the heart.
